If you are known for negative things this will keep others from answering your calls. If you are: Always complaining about your bad situation, expecting people to always bail you out of sticky situations, looking for help and never offering to help, always seeing the rosy side of things when you do something but cutting others down at every attempt to please you, Talking trash about people you don't know indepth but expecting their help whenever you ask for it...Is this you?? "If the shoe fits wear it!
Stop doing people like this...if you can count on five fingers the things a person you consider a friend has done for you but lack anything to count that you've done for that friend then you've used that person. If you have a equal amount of fingers to hold up for each of you, then hang on to that friend. If you've tried to return favors to people and they won't except the favor, Honey, you just happen to have a friend who is full of pride..I have a couple of those myself. You can offer the world and they say..."I'm good, I'm cool, keep your money." They wouldn't mind what you are offering up but they don't want to appear a certain way...or whatever that may mean to that particular person!
Oh like, we are friends alright! LOL! REALLY!?? Spend mad money on lingerie for your destination wedding night and I ain't even the maid of honor...hit up your events and parties for you only to see the same faces...break bread on your products just to show support...promote you and your services, music,and or art, rush to attend last minute get together's for you...listen to your un-rehearsed podcast...a series of events occur with the person showing you support and you are no where to be found.
Some care more than others.... You'd know where to find these people who truly support you, yet when you do reach out to them it's: "What have you been up to?" If you tuned in a little more, you'd know! Having few good friends that don't treat you like the things listed above, is an honor. For employers you could use a little help in the employee appreciation department too!
But for those that use others to get that closer to their destination, you don't realize you have a pool of imaginary friends who are on to your antics and have you now programmed you in their phone under the IGNORE list.
Don't whine later when you have to come back down to earth after your high ride (new car, job, trip, man, lady, employee or whatever"") and there is no one to talk to about the sudden change of events. Guess what love? They lacked your support and or interest and replaced your ass lol!! :) Find balance between giving and taking and you won't have to re-up on a batch of new friends /(employees). Real talk. :)
